Ryan Garcia goes the distance in win vs Emmanuel Tagoe
Ryan Garcia made a triumphant return to the ring after a 15-month layoff following a one-sided unanimous decision nod over Emmanuel Tagoe on Sunday (Manila time) at the Alamodome in Texas, USA.
Garcia, 23, dictated the tempo right from the get-go throwing fast and heavy combinations at his overmatched opponent.
The young star dropped Tagoe in round two but was unable to finish. It was a cat and mouse chase from there with Garcia pressing the action and Tagoe riding his bike until the final bell.
"I got nothing but respect for Tagoe. He fought a hard fight, he was making it a little difficult for me to end him," said Garcia.

"I hit him with some shots but he was crafty with the holding and stuff. He was moving a lot. It's a new experience, I have to cut the ring a little better."
All three judges scored the fight in favor of him after twelve rounds, improving his perfect record to 22-0 with 18 knockouts. The scorecards were 119-108, 119-108, and 118-109.
