Fighters nearly come to blows as Gervonta Davis pushes Rolly Romero off the stage

WBA interim lightweight champion Gervonta Davis and Rolly Romero nearly came to blows during the official weigh-in this Saturday (PH time) in New York, USA.

Davis, who tipped the scale at 133 ¾ pounds, pushed Romero (134 ¼ pounds) off the stage shortly after they made weight and posed for photos.

“I just sent him like off the edge of the stage, I just pushed him. Get in his head. He talks too much,” Davis (26-0, 24KOs) said.

Romero (14-0, 12KOs), for his part, said the act only proved that Davis is afraid of him.

“Motherf—er pushed me. He is f—ing scared. He is a b—. He is scared, man,” Romero stated.

The pair of hard-hitting lightweights are scheduled to collide for 12 rounds on Showtime Pay-Per-View on Sunday, May 29 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
