A world title eliminator between former WBC interim bantamweight champion Reymart Gaballo and Nawaphon Kaikanha has been approved by the World Boxing Council.

The 26-year-old Gaballo is a hard-hitting 118-pounder from General Santos City with a record of 25-1 with 21 knockouts. He last saw in October in a stay busy bout against Ricardo Sueno where he won by way of second-round technical knockout.

Kaikanha, meanwhile, is a veteran of sixty fights holding a record of 57-2-1 with 47 knockouts. He is also coming off a technical knockout win over a 1-4 journeyman Brandon Alejandro and is scheduled to figure in another six-round bout with Attanon Kunlawong on February 25.

The winner of the upcoming title eliminator would then fight for the WBC world bantamweight title which has been vacated by Japanese superstar Naoya Inoue.
