Carl Jammes Martin gets 'verbal' offer to fight on Casimero undercard at Okada Manila

Super bantamweight prospect Carl Jammes Martin has received a "verbal offer" to fight on the undercard of John Riel Casimero versus Fillipus Nghitumbwa on May 13 at Okada Manila in Parañaque City.

Casimero, 32-4 with 22 knockouts, will vie for the WBO global super bantamweight title against the Namibian puncher in the main event. The idea is to put Martin on the undercard but no contract has been signed yet.

"We have our own promoter and it's all up to them. For now, Carl Jammes must keep training while we wait for a fight," one of his managers and sister JL Martin told GMA News Online.

The 23-year-old Martin is an unbeaten prizefighter from Lagawe, Ifugao, who holds a professional boxing record of 21-0 with 17 knockouts.

Touted as one of the most promising prospects from the Philippines, Martin fought three times in 2022, winning two of them via stoppage.
