Carl Jammes Martin set for return, to face Oscar Duge on August 19
Super bantamweight prospect Carl Jammes Martin is set to strut his wares anew as he goes against Oscar Duge on August 19 at the Mandaluyong City College Gym.
Martin, who holds a perfect record of 21-0 with 17 knockouts, was supposed to fight last May on the undercard of Casimero vs. Nghitumbwa but had to call off the bout after he suffered a rib injury.
"I was inactive for about a year during the pandemic and I struggled a bit. Looking back, I learned a lot from that inactivity and I hope to make the necessary adjustments this time," Martin said.
Martin last saw action in December 2022 when he stopped former world title challenger Komgrich Nantapech in Round 2. Ranked no. 4 by the IBF and no. 9 by the WBO, Martin currently holds the IBF Pan Pacific super bantamweight title.
