Naoya Inoue dispatches late replacement foe in four rounds

Japan's Naoya Inoue vs Kim Ye-joon

Undisputed super bantamweight champion Naoya Inoue made another successful defense of his title following a fourth-round knockout over the unheralded late replacement Kim Ye Joon this Friday evening at Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan.

Inoue started the contest with gauging jabs and right hand to the body. Kim was calm and was seemingly unbothered by his opponent's power, but was barely throwing punches of his own in the first two rounds

Kim started to let his hands go in round three to which Inoue responded with body shots. In round 4, Inoue unleashed heavy punches to the head and body that sent Kim crashing to the canvas.

Unable to beat the count, Inoue was awarded a stoppage victory at the 2:25 mark of the stanza. The win improved Inoue's perfect professional boxing record to 29-0 with 26 knockouts.
