No British Open stint for RP's J-Ro

MANILA, Philippines - Jennifer Rosales is out of the Women’s British Open, the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) announced Tuesday. LPGA officials selected Moira Dunn, Katie Futcher and Paige Mackenzie of the US; Gloria Park of Korea; and Shanshan Feng of China to play in Berkshire, England. The LPGA’s decision was based on their scores in the Jamie Farr LPGA event held in the weekend in Ohio. But the Philippines will still be represented in the tournament considered as one of women’s golf’s Major tournaments. Australia-based Frances Bondad and US-based Dorothy Delasin are on the roster of players listed on the British Open web site. The four-round competition begins July 31. – GMANews.TV
