Manila police ordered to investigate shooting of FEU player

MANILA, Philippines – Manila Mayor Alfredo Lim ordered the Manila Police District (MPD) on Tuesday to investigate the shooting of a Far Eastern University basketball player last week. “I have given specific instructions to Manila Police District Chief Supt. Roberto Rosales to investigate fully the incident and to exert all efforts to pinpoint and arrest the perpetrators," Lim said. Marnel Baracael of the FEU seniors' basketball team is currently recovering at the Capitol Hospital in Quezon City after being shot Thursday near the FEU premises. Lim also assured that the police would use the full extent of the law to solve the case. “The Manila police is on top of the situation," Lim added. “We will get the suspects, no matter what it takes." – GMANews.TV
