UAAP football: Men’s matches end in draw

MANILA, Philippines – There were neither winners nor losers in the second playing date of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) men’s football tournament Wednesday at the Ateneo field. Games between defending champion Far Eastern University against University of the East, La Salle against University of the Philippines and Ateneo against University of Santo Tomas all ended in scoreless draws. UE, on the strength of its victory over Ateneo Sunday, La Salle and UP are on top of the standings with four points (1-1-0 win-draw-loss). Ateneo, FEU and UST all have one point (0-1-1 win-draw-loss). Men’s football matches resume on Sunday with UST taking on UE at 10 a.m. while FEU battles UP at 1 p.m. Ateneo faces La Salle at 3 p.m. all at the Erenchun field. – GMANews.TV
