Pinoy superbiker seeks greater heights
MANILA, Philippines -With lots of awards to his name, Maico Buncio can already be considered an accomplished biker. Owner of over 300 titles in both local and Asian motorbike tournaments, the 20-year-old speedster made his mark in the US last year, where he emerged as the first Filipino super-biker to break into the Top 30 of the tough American Motorbikers Association (AMA) Rally. He placed 24th with a time of 1:32 in the AMA Rally's last leg. But Buncio is not one to rest on his laurels. In a report by 24 Oras, Buncio said his next target is the Asian Grand Prix in Malaysia in April. He said his dream is to win that competition and bring honor to the country. âIn every international competition, kung sinong nanalo sa event, ino-honor nila ang country ng nanalo. Sana marinig ko na pinapatugtog ang Lupang Hinirang sa abroad," he said. In moving forward with this dream, the 2008 Philippine Sportswriters Association and Golden Wheel awardee said perseverance and determination would be his main weapon. âKung talagang paghihirapan mo ang isang bagay, makukuha at makukuha mo rin ito," he said. -GMANews.Tv
