Matsuzaka set to rejoin Red Sox on Wednesday

TAMPA, Florida — Daisuke Matsuzaka is scheduled to rejoin the Boston Red Sox on Wednesday after helping Japan win the World Baseball Classic. Matsuzaka improved his record in the WBC to 3-0 with a victory over the United States in the semifinals at Dodger Stadium on Sunday. Japan beat South Korea in the final the next day. Red Sox officials are discussing when Matsuzaka will pitch again. "We have some ideas on how we want to do this with him," Boston manager Terry Francona said on Tuesday.
