Frank Young scores 24 points, including six 3-pointers, and De'Sean Butler adds 20 points to help the Mountaineers to a 78-73 victory. 2007 â Michael Phelps sets his third world record in as many days, winning the 200-meter individual medley at the world championships in Melbourne, Australia. His time of 1:54.98 betters his old mark of 1:55.84 set in August at the Pan Pacific championships. 2008 â Curlin rolls to a record-setting 7¾-length victory in the $6 million Dubai World Cup, the world's richest race.
