Pacquiao’s own song ‘Lahing Pinoy’ to play in Hatton fight

MANILA, Philippines – Manny Pacquiao’s very own song, “Lahing Pinoy," will reverberate at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas when the Pac-man makes his way into the ring against Ricky Hatton on May 2. According to an exclusive report by Showbiz Central Sunday, Pacquiao had already recorded his latest entrance song, “Lahing Pinoy" in the presence of its composer, Lito Camo, and GMA Network executives Wilma Galvante and Redgie Magno in LA. As with his previous songs like “Para Sa ‘Yo Ang Laban Na Ito," Pacquiao’s newest ditty “Lahing Pinoy" speaks of nationalism, a value that always plays out every time the reigning pound for pound king fights. Camo said “Lahing Pinoy" is a fitting accompaniment to Pacquiao’s entrance against Hatton. “Napaka-simple ng melody at lyrics, siguradong mauunawaan ito ng mga Pilipino kahit isang beses lang nila marinig. Ngayon pa lang nagbibigay na ito ng inspirasyon sa laban ni Manny," Camo said. Pacquiao, who dabbles into acting and singing during his breaks from boxing, is set to battle Hatton seeking the Hitman’s International Boxing Organization (IBO) world junior welterweight title. –GMANews.TV
