Ardina, Ababa headline RP campaign in Florida golf

MANILA, Philippines - Two-time winner Dottie Ardina and recent champion Sarah Ababa headline the Future Collegians World Tour (FCWT) Girls’ 11 to 18 Laura Diaz National Championship at the Haig Course of the PGA National Golf Club in Florida from May 23 to 25. Ardina, 15, is gunning for her third win in her sixth tournament in the FCWT. She finished second twice at the Terra Lago Open and Red Tail Golf Open and third in the Mission Inn Challenge. For her part, 14-year-old Ababa enters the event on a high note coming off her victory at the University of New Mexico Champions Challenge in New Mexico last week. “I’m very happy with my first win. I’d certainly like to make it two-in-a-row," Ababa said. Also joining the 54-hole event are Cyna Rodriguez, who was picked by the University of Southern California (USC) in its special program, Debbie de Villa, reigning Philippine Ladies Amateur Open title Louise Manalo, Mia Piccio and Chihiro Ikeda. –GMANews.TV
