TATAP hopes to find future RP Team mainstays
The Table Tennis Association of the Philippines (TATAP) hopes to discover new talents when the 2nd Philippine National Table Tennis Championships opens Wednesday at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City. More than 300 table netters are expected to compete in the five-day event, slated from Dec. 16 to 20, which will become future RP training pool members that will represent the country in future international tournaments. âSince our best players are all in the Laos Southeast Asian Games, we would like to grab this opportunity to find new talents for our national men and womenâs team," said TATAP vice president Jose Ortalla Jr. âIâm very sure that we will find potential players in this tournament." The seven players who are in Laos, according to Ortalla, are all seeded and could participate in their respective event in the last day of the tournament. â GMANews.TV
