DZBB radio host Orly Trinidad headed the list of winners in the recently concluded 9th San Miguel Corporation (SMC) Media Invitational Golf Tournament at Wack Wack Golf and Country Club's West Course.

Trinidad successfully defended his overall title when he carded a gross of 75 as he led other division winners Jay Sonza (Class A), Ernie Gonzales (Class B) and Joel Reyes Zobel (Class C). Aside from the overall crown, Trinidad also went home with the Most Accurate Drive award. Sonza, of Inquirer Radio, and Gonzales (Inquirer) each shot a 72 and 73 net to win their respective divisions while Zobel, also of radio dzBB, finished with a 72.4 net score. Placing second and third to Sonza in Class A were Business Mirror's Ricky Alegre and Inquirer's Raul Marcelo. Ramon Tomeldan and Ray Eñano (73.2), both of Manila Standard Today, placed second and third, respectively in Class B. Tomeldan actually tied Gonzales with a 73 but the latter had a better score in the last nine holes. Class C second and third placers were dwIZ's Rey Pacheco (78.4) and Malaya's Ducky Paredes (78.6) in the tournament that employed the Modified Peoria format and was participated in by 43 golfers from print and broadcast media. Fun Hole awards went to Manila Standard's Jojo Robles (Nearest to the Pin), and Inquirer's Jun Engracia (Longest Drive).
