Fun-filled race seen in Rexona Run

There is going to be more than running when the fourth leg of the RunRio series — the Rexona run — gets going on July 24 at the Mall of Asia. Organizers said during a press presentation on Tuesday at the Milky Way restaurant in Makati City that non-runners can enjoy zip lining, free fall, reverse bungee, zorb maze and wall climbing inside the Rexona Adventure Hub located at the sprawling MOA complex. Rio dela Cruz of RunRio said the Adventure Hub will be open starting July 23 and participants will have a chance to win adventure package for four tourist destinations like Banaue, Bohol or Cagayan de Oro. "There is going to be something for everyone even for non-runners," said dela Cruz. But he added that only finishers will have the chance to win three all-expense-paid adventures to the Great Wall of China. Four events will be on tap — 21K, 10K, 5K and 3K — for men and women. Race fee is P700 for the 21K, P600 for the 10K and 5K while those who will run in the 3K will shell out P500. Runners will receive the race singlet, bib with Chronotrack B-Tag and Adventure Hub Passport with two coupons while those who will finish their races will receive finisher's kit. Top finishers in the 21K will go home P10,000 richer while 10K winners will pocket P7,000 and 5K top racers P5,000. The winners of the 3K event will bag P3,000. Runners can now register at RUNNR and R.O.X. stores in Bonifacio High Street, Toby’s SM Mall of Asia, Planet Sports Glorietta and Trinoma, The Athlete’s Foot Alabang Town Center and Robinsons Galleria and Stoked in Greenhills, Rockwell and Gateway until July 3. Participants can also register online via the event’s website or the Rexona Philippines Facebook page. Late registrants will have to visit R.O.X. in Bonifacio High Street, Toby’s SM Mall of Asia and The Athlete’s Foot Robinson’s Galleria from July 4–10. - Perry Legaspi/RCJ/KBK, GMA News
