Coach Roach denies he is breaking up with Pacquiao

Boxing trainer Freddie Roach denied reports that he and WBC International Super Featherweight champ Manny Pacquiao are parting ways. "Absolutely false," said Roach in a fightnews.com interview regarding the news that Pacquiao dumped him as coach because he supported the move by Golden Boy Promotions of Oscar De La Hoya to pirate Pacquiao from Top Rank. "I'm still going to be Manny's trainer, regardless of who he fights for. His choice of promoters is justt hat, his choice, not mine," Roach added. In the same interview Roach revealed that plans to put him in a Philippine-based alcoholic beverage commercial had been postponed. The plan was to put him together with Pacquiao and Erik Morales in the commercial. "I was supposed to shoot a commercial for San Miguel Beer in the Philippines with Manny and Erik Morales next week, but that just got postponed.
