PBL: Cebuana-Lhuillier catches q'finals berth

Ken Bono and Doug Kramer shone in the last three minutes to help the Cebuana Lhuillier-Pera Padala Moneymen beat TeleTech Titans, 81-72, in their knockout game for a quarterfinals spot in the PBL Silver Cup at the Emilio Aguinaldo College on Thursday. Just when the Titans were threatening to widen their 71-64 lead in the last 3:38 of the game, Bono and Kramer somehow found their range to put the Moneymen into the next round. Kramer scored five points while Bono added four in a 14-1 bomb that put the Moneymen ahead for good. "This time we set the defensive tone. We know TeleTech is a tough team because of their physical game but our players came prepared which I think was the biggest factor in this win," said coach Luigi Trillo. The Moneymen will next face Harbour Center which have the twice-to-beat advantage in the quarterfinals. "We can't enjoy this win because we have to go back and remain focus because Harbour Centre will be a tough opponent. But we will take it one game at a time," Trillo said in anticipating a tough duel against Harbour Center. - GMANews.TV
