Brent Int’l School dominates Slcuaa

Brent International School bagged three basketball titles at the close of the 7th season of the Southern Luzon Colleges and Universities Athletic Association (Slcuaa) at the Brent Gymnasium in Laguna. According to the league's official results sent on Sunday to the media, the Lions began their three-crown romp with a pulsating 52-49 win over Perpetual Help-Molino to clinch the girls' division title, where their very own cagebelle Klarrizze Posadas was named most valuable player. Brent's boys team followed suit, and with MVP Corey Akhidenor leading the charge, squeaked past St. Francis of Assisi College Systems-Bacoor, 58-57 for the crown in this tournament featuring the best schools of Southern Luzon. Then, the Lady Red Lions showed how it should be done when they crushed Perpetual Help-Molino cagebelles, 59-28, to capture the women's title. Breaking the total domination of Brent was STI Sta. Rosa, which dumped Perpetual Help-Calamba, 82-65, to annex the men's crown, thanks to the all-around game of eventual MVP Julius Casaysayan. Casaysayan led the Mythical Team Selection and was joined by teammates John Martin Batisan and Winston Balmaseda, together with Perpetua-Calamba's Joshua Carolino and Leo Flavier.- GMANews.TV
