FEU's Pinggoy, NU's Atangan, San Beda's Tongco, headline year two of Seaoil High School All-Star Game


Thirty-two of the best high school seniors in the Philippines will be out to show what they've got in the second annual Seaoil High School All-Star Game, slated for March 3, Sunday, at the Ynares Sports Arena. Patterned after the McDonalds's All-American Game in the United States, the exhibition will feature the likes of FEU's Jerie Pingoy, NU’s Ralph Atangan, San Beda’s Ranbill Tongco, UST’s Nicko Bahia, Cagayan De Oro National High School’s John Luna, the University of Visayas’ Paul Desiderio, and St. John’s Institute’s Kib Montalbo “The Seaoil High School All-Star Game is once again the premier event to showcase the Philippines’ top high school basketball talent,” said National Basketball Training Center (NBTC) Training Director Alex Compton. “We are excited to see the best of the best compete against each other on a national stage. These kids are all graduating from high school and not everyone knows about their talent. The Seaoil High School All-Star Game will be their stage.” In the first-ever Seaoil High School All-Star Game, Mapua’s Ace Basas came out of nowhere to take the Most Valuable Player plume from more widely recognized players such as Xavier Stallion Jeron Teng, his Mapua teammate JJ Alejandro, and San Beda’s Daryl Nazareno. - AMD, GMA News
