The future looks bright for sophomores Ara Galang and Mika Reyes of the De La Salle Lady Spikers. With two championship trophies and three more playing years, the duo is determined to create a dynasty of their own for the girls in Green and White. Under coach Ramil de Jesus, the girls won twice against all but one team this season, with their only defeat came in the hands of the University Santo Tomas Lady Tigresses in their opening day match. They won 13 straight after that, before defeating National University in the Final Four. And after winning Game One of the finals in dramatic fashion, the drive to put an exclamation mark on this season's campaign with authority came naturally. Kaya siguro yun narin yung lumabas dahil sa galaw namin," said co-MVP Galang. "Pinakita talaga namin yung laro namin at kung ano yung nasa puso namin." Asked about the quest for their fourth straight, both Galang and Reyes recognize that the feat is well within the team's reach. "Siyempre, kaya," said Reyes, who registered a combined 31 points in the two finals games. "Hindi ko tatapusin don. Magsisikap pa ako next season para magawa ko yung dapat kong gawin at para mapakita ko yung ano yung binigay sakin ni Lord," added Galang. "Mag-tetrain pa kami ng mabuti para pagdating ng next season, ma-maintain namin or di lang i-maintain, lalampasan pa namin yung ginawa namin ngayon para mas ok next season." - AMD, GMA News
