UAAP, Bartolome camp meet, TRO against 2-year residency rule still up for resolution
University of the Philippines student Anna Dominique "Mikee" Bartolome's chance of representing her university still hangs in the balance, as her representatives, along with the University Athletics Association of the Phillipines and the University of Santo Tomas, were asked to submit their separate memoranda before Quezon City Regional Trial Court Branch 226 Judge Manuel Sta. Cruz Jr. on Tuesday at 12 noon.

Bartolome filed for a Temporary Restraining Order against the UAAP's two-year residency rule, prohibiting graduates of UAAP high schools from immediately suiting up for their a different university.
The former UST juniors tanker, who hopes to be included in UP's backstroke team this season, will have until Wednesday to get her TRO. The UAAP will deliberate the eligibility of athletes in swimming on September 4.
Bartolome, who is currently enrolled in the Sports Science program of UP, earned 10 gold medals, five silvers, and four bronze medals for UST. She was also awarded Rookie of the Year honors in Season 72.
The UP freshman, who was accompanied by her father, was represented by Atty. Alfred Jacinto of the Cayetano Sebastian Ata Dado & Cruz law firm through Senator Pia Cayetano. Atty. Renee Ma. Villa represented the UAAP. - AMD, GMA News
