Filipina runner Mary Grace Delos Santos defends adidas King of the Road title

Filipina runner Mary Grace Delos Santos was once again named Queen of the Road after finishing in first place in the Malaysian leg of the 2013 adidas King of the Road running championship, held last Sunday.

Delos Santos put in a time of one hour and three minutes to conquer the 16.8km distance, as the race was held along the New Pantai Express Highway. The elevated route took runners through the Subang Jaya, Petaling Jaya and Kuala Lumpur districts.   

Last year, Delos Santos placed first in Singapore, with a time of one hour, one minute and 52 seconds.

Another Filipina, Mary Joy Tabal, was just a minute behind Delos Santos, to claim second place.

The men's title was won by Thai Sgt Boonthung Srisung in 52 minutes and 35 seconds. - AMD, GMA News
