FilOil Flying V Premier Cup adjusts groupings

The FilOil Flying V Premier Cup made adjustments to its three groups in the men’s division of the preseason tournament, this past weekend.

Group A is no longer a powerhouse “Group of Death” with both the UAAP and NCAA champions, as the reigning NCAA titlists San Beda College Red Lions have been replaced by the University of Perpetual Help Altas, while NCAA runners-up Letran Knights were swapped with the JRU Heavy Bombers.

In Group B, the Red Lions took the place of the Altas, while the EAC Generals were exchanged for the Knights.

In Group C, the Heavy Bombers are out, while the Generals are in.

The top two teams of each groups, plus the best two third placers, advance to the quarterfinals.

The tournament opens on April 23, though the opening day schedule has yet to be released. - AMD, GMA News
