SM announces three-day sale to celebrate NU Bulldogs' UAAP title

A special three-day sale will be launched in five SM malls to celebrate the National University Bulldogs' UAAP basketball championship, SM announced Monday.

 

In its Facebook page, SM Supermalls posted that SM City Manila, SM City San Lazaro, SM City Sta. Mesa, SM Stores in Quiapo and Harrison will be on sale from October 24 to 26.

 

 

 

The SM Group is owned by the Sy family, which acquired majority of shares in the private university in 2008.

 

The Bulldogs bagged the championship in men's basketball for the first time in 60 years. Their first title came in 1954 also against Far Eastern University. The team dropped the first game of the finals series, but exerted their defensive might on the Tamaraws in the next two games to end the championship drought.

 

NU also copped the championship crown in women's basketball, and the NU Pep Squad successfully defended their title in the UAAP cheer dance competition. — Marisse Panaligan/JST, GMA News
