GAMES TUESDAY (Olivarez Sports Center Parañaque City) 2 pm - Cebuana Lhuillier Pera Padala vs Burger King 4 pm - San Miguel-Magnolia vs Dazz 'Sang Patak
Cebuana Lhuillier Pera Padala posted its first back-to-back win the Philippine Basketball League with an 80-67 win over Henkel Sista in the continuation of the Unity Cup Saturday at The Arena in San Juan. The Moneymen immediately went to work and gained a 29-10 advantage in the first quarter that ended the first half ahead at 53-29. It was the Moneymen all the way with Sista only managing to cut the deficit to 13, 74-61. Sista tried to extend that rally but it went for naught as Doug Kramer answered back with two free throws and Ken Bono scoring a lay-up that put the Moneymen ahead by 17 points going into the last three minutes of the match. Meanwhile, back-to-back defending champion Harbour Centre came back from their first game defeat against Burger King with an 81-78 triumph over Dazz 'Sang Patak, 81-78, in the second game. Jason Castro took charge of the Batang Pier's offense, hitting 22 points and scattering 10 assists, which the former Hapee-PCU star added with seven rebounds, four steals and two blocked shots in 34 minutes of playing. Castro's perimeter shot gave Harbour Center a 76-75 lead, and after Philip Butel tied the score by splitting his charities, Castro paved the way for Chad Alonzo to score a three-point play that ballooned Batang Pier's lead to 81-76, with 25 ticks in the clock. - GMANews.TV
