Games Saturday The Arena, San Juan 12 noon - San Miguel-Magnolia vs Cebuana Lhuillier-Pera Padala 2 p.m. - Dazz 'Sang Patak vs Burger King 4 p.m. - Harbour Centre vs Toyota Balintawak
Harbour Centre extended its winning streak to six with an 83-79 win over Burger King in the continuation on Thursday of the PBL Unity Cup eliminations at the Olivarez Sports Center in Parañaque City. Batang Pier won the match despite the comeback of Whoppers head coach Lawrence Chongson, who was out for several games because of commitments abroad. It was the third defeat for the Whoppers, failing to check Chad Alonzo and Beau Belga who carried the game for Harbour Centre. Alonzo scored a double-double 18 points and 15 rebounds while Belga produced 15 points, four rebounds, three assists, and two steals in Harbour Centre's victory, avenging their 77-81 defeat to the Whoppers last April 17. Because of the stiff defense against Jason Castro, who was limited to two free-throws, Alonzo and Belga had to shine for Harbour Centre who gave the Whoppers their third straight defeat that shoved them down to third place at 4-3. - GMANews.TV
