Jimrex Jaca to fight Alisher Rahimov in Russia


Jimrex Jaca, the World Boxing Organization (WBO) Asia Pacific super-featherweight champion, will defend his title against undefeated Alisher Rahimov on June 30 at the Olympisky Sports Hall in Moscow, Russia. According to a www.philboxing.com report, Jaca will be fighting for the first time since his seventh-round knockout victory against Indonesian Simson Butar-Butar last February 24 in Cebu. Aside from his WBO Asia Pacific title, also at stake in the bout is the IBF Inter-continental super-featherweight crown. The 29-year-old Rahimov has an immaculate record of 14 victories with seven knockouts. He is also Russia's super-featherweight titlist. Included among the victims of Rahimov was Serikzhan Yeshmagambetov, the same boxer whom Manny Pacqauio stopped in the fourth round last year. Jaca, nicknamed "The Executioner", has a a 28-3-1, 13 KO's record. This will be his seventh fight abroad. - GMANews.TV
