MVBA: Holcim thrashes Iligan, 91-79

Holcim Pryce Pharma-MisOr thrashed Iligan Archangels, 91-79, to even their best-of-three Mindanao Division finals series of the Mindanao-Visayas Basketball Association Saturday at the Xavier University Gym. In a press statement Sunday, the league said that the Mindanao Finals are now even at 1-all as Nico Pupos helped MisOr post its biggest lead of the game, 69-47, which the Archangels failed to erase even with a rally late in the game. The Archangels won Game 1 last June 8 at the MSU-IIT Gym. Game Three of the series was played Sunday night. Waiting for the result of the Game 3 is Visayas Division champion Arthro Kontra Arthritis of coach Al Solis. Anthro won the Visayas division. Game One of the best-of-three MVBA Finals is tentatively set for June 13. Game Two will be on June 15 in Cebu . If needed, the winner-take-all Game Three will be on June 16 also in Cebu .
