High school standouts compete in 2nd year of Slam Rising Stars
Twenty four of the best high school basketball players in the country will compete in the 2nd Slam Rising Stars Classic on Sunday at the Gatorade Hoops Center in Mandaluyong.
The players were split into Team Hype and Team Punks, coached by Ateneo's Joe Silva and La Salle's Gian Nazario, respectively.
Team Hype has Ateneo's Matt Nieto heading the squad, along with San Beda's Andrei Caracut, La Salle Greenhills' Ricci Rivero and Mike Dela Cruz, De La Salle Zobel's Noah Webb, Arellano University's Carlo Abadeza, National University's Mark Dyke, JRU's Darius Estrella, FEU's Christian Fajarito, Hope Christian High School's Jollo Go, San Sebastian's Enzo Navarro, and ISM's Mikel Panlilio.
Team Punks is led by Ateneo's Jolo Mendoza and Mike Nieto, San Beda's Niko Abatayo, Mapua's Denniel Aguirre, De La Salle Zobel's Quinito Banzon and Aljun Melecio, FEU's Brandrey Bienes and Wendelino Comboy, Chiang Kai Shek's JV Gallego, La Salle Greenhills' JBoy Gob, Xavier's Tyler Tio, and Adamson's JD Tungcab. - RAF, GMA News
