PRISAA wrap: Western, Central Visayas lead in medal tallies
Western and Central Visayas continued to lead the medal race in the ongoing National Private Schools Athletic Association (PRISAA) Games in Iloilo province.
As of Thursday morning, Western Visayas topped the secondary level with 205 medals including 120 golds, followed by Central Visayas with 93 medals including 36 golds.
Region XI was a distant third with 39 medals, including 10 golds.
In the tertiary level, Central Visayas held the lead with 107 medals including 38 golds, followed by Western Visayas with 112 medals including 37 golds.

In the Latin category tertiary, Region 6 won the gold and bronze while Region 7 took the silver.
In the modern standard category tertiary, Region 7 got the gold, Region 4-A the silver, and Region 6 the bronze.
For the Latin category secondary, Region 11 won the gold while Region 6 won the silver and bronze.
For the modern standard category secondary, Region 11 won the gold while Region 4B won the silver.
Meanwhile, Western Visayas blanked Region 11 in the football finals, 5-0.
Named MVP was Jo Warren Bedia of Calinog, Iloilo. Joshua Sepeña of Central Philippine University was tagged the best striker.
