Marquez wants rematch with Manny Pacquiao

World Boxing Council super featherweight champion Juan Manuel Marquez wants a rematch with Manny Pacquiao after his title defense against Rocky Juarez at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on September 15th. Pacquiao, on the other hand, is set to face Marco Antonio Barrera in a rematch on Oct. 6 at the Mandalay Bary Resort and Casino also in Las Vegas. Marquez's manager Ignacio Beristain said that his ward and the Filipino boxing sensation have an unfinished business to settle, the www.boxingscene.com reported. Beristain added that since the issue between Golden Boy Promotions and Top Rank has been settled, it will be easy to arrange the fight. The fight, according to Beristain may be scheduled in March of next year. "Deep down Manny knows that he lost to Juan in their first fight. Juan is convinced he won that fight, and that he will win their next one too," Beristain was quoted as saying by the website. Pacquiao sent Marquez down the canvas thrice when they first met on May 8, 2004 also at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. But despite going down three times in the first round, the fight went to the judges and was announced as a draw. - GMANews.TV
