Pagulayan, Immonen move up to last-16 stage of WPC
Two former World Pool Championship (WPC) winners â Filipino Alex Pagulayan and Finnish Mika Immonen â advanced on Thursday night to the last-16 stage of the annual 9-ball tournament, which is taking place at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City. Pagulayan defeated Louis Condo of Australia, 10-2, and Immonen beat Tony Drago of Malta, 10-6. According to the WPC official website, the other winners in the earlier matches in the last-32 stage were: ⢠Kuo Po-Cheng of Chinese Taipei, over Oliver Ortman of Germany, 10-7 ⢠Harald Stolka of Germany, over Wu Yu-Lun of Chinese Taipei, 10-2 ⢠Alain Martel of Canada, over Goran Mladenovic of Serbia, 10-2 ⢠Satoshi Kawabata of Japan, over Luo Chi Dung of Vietnam, 10-3
