Gomez beats Kuo, 11-4; Django, Joven drop out

Roberto Gomez of the Philippines defeated Taiwan’s Kuo Po Cheng, 11-4, to advance into the semifinals match of the 2007 World Pool Championship at the Araneta Coliseum. Gomez is the last hope of the Philippines for the WPC title after Francisco Bustamante lost in a controversial match against Daryl Peach of England, 10-11. Another Filipino, Joven Bustamante, lost to Karl Boyes of England, 8-11. Gomez will battle Boyes in the semifinal round. - GMANews.TV
