Abante Tonite sports editor Episcope writes 30 at 41

Gilbert Episcope, sports editor of Abante Tonite, died last November 17 at the age of 41. He is survived by wife Merquejames and children Rainier, Stephanie, and Aivan. Episcope started his writing career as a sports reporter for Abante, covering games at the Rizal Memorial Complex, Philippine Basketball League (PBL), and the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA), where he was a member of the PBA Press Corps. He also covered for Abante the 1990 Asian Games in Beijing, China. Later on, he was promoted to become sports editor of Abante Tonite. His remains lie in state at the St. Peter Chapel in Quezon Avenue, Quezon City. Interment will be announced later. - GMANews.TV
