PHL's Eric Cray out of SEA Games men's 100-meter dash

The Philippines' top bet in the Southeast Asian Games men's 100-meter run was disqualified on Sunday at the New Clark City Athletics Stadium in Tarlac.

According to an article by SPIN.ph, Olympian Eric Cray committed two false starts during the qualifying heat that eliminated him from competing in the finals of the century dash in the evening.

Cray last won the gold in the event in the 2015 edition in Singapore, before settling for silver in 2017 in Malaysia.

Meanwhile, Filipino Anfernee Lopena placed second in his heat after a 10.61-second output.

Although he missed his chance in the 100-meter dash, Cray will still play in the men's 400-meter hurdles, where he is set to defend his title he won in 2017.
