RP men's team beats Malaysia, 15-6, in SEA Games water polo


The men's water polo team of the Philippines won its preliminary match on Friday against Malaysia, 15-6, at the 24th Southeast Asian Games being held in Thailand. Also winning their matches were Indonesia over Vietnam, 19-11, and Singapore over Thailand, 15-5, according to results posted at the official website of the event. The matches are being held at His Majesty The King's 80th Anniversary Aquatic Centre in Nakhon Ratchasima. The men's water polo team of the Philippines is composed of Allan Payawal, Sherwin de la Paz, Almax Laurel, Danny de la Torre, Johnny Uba, Ernesto Pabalan, Michael Jorolan, Teodoro Cañete, Norton Alamara, Frazier Alamara, Dale Evangelista, Monsuito Pelenio, and Tani Gomez. The head coach is Edmond Galang, with Edmond San Pedro as assistant. Lusito Mangahis is the team leader. - GMANews.TV
