The Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) has announced that two major sports facilities will be under lockdown starting on Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2020.
In a circular dated Aug. 11, 2020, PSC Chairman William I. Ramirez said Rizal Memorial Sports Complex in Manila and the PHILSPORTS Complex in Pasig City will be under lockdown after a staff member tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
"This is part of the agency's health security protocol, after a staff tested COVID-19 positive in the recent round of RT-PCR Testing," Ramirez said.
"We ask for your kind understanding and cooperation," he added.
The Rizal Memorial Sports Complex in Malate, Manila houses the administrative office of the PSC, and quarters for the Philippine national athletes. The PHILSPORTS Complex also houses the offices of the Philippine Sports Commission, Philippine Olympic Committee and some national sports associations.
