Erik Morales goes to Vegas for Pacquiao-Marquez fight

Erik Morales, a friend of Filipino champ Manny Pacquiao, was among those who went to Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada to watch Pacquiao's match with Mexican Juan Manuel Marquez. Morales of Mexico, who did a Magnolia fruit drink commercial in the Philippines, eventually became Pacquiao's friend after the latter defeated him in their January 22, 2006 fight. Pacquiao knocked down Morales twice minutes before the end of the tenth round. On November 18, 2006, in a non-championship bout, Morales was again defeated by the Filipino boxer in a third-round knockout. "Maybe it's time I should no longer be doing this. I did everything in camp necessary to win this fight. I didn't win it. It wasn't my night...it just wasn't meant to be... Maybe this is the way to end it," Morales said after his defeat. - GMANews.TV
