Kacey dela Rosa to receive special citation from Collegiate Press; Rebosura, Bation, Pellejo named Football Players of the Year

Ateneo de Manila University standout Kacey dela Rosa will receive a special citation from the Collegiate Press Corps during its Awards Night on June 29.

The two-time UAAP Most Valuable Player was a key member of the Philippine national team that won the silver medal in the FIBA 3x3 Asia Cup and competed in the FIBA 3x3 World Cup. She also helped Gilas Pilipinas Women capture the gold medal at the 2025 Southeast Asian Games.

Dela Rosa was likewise named to this year’s Collegiate Basketball Women’s Mythical Team, joining University of Santo Tomas stars Kent Pastrana and Brigette Santos, along with National University’s Ann Pingol and Kristine Cayabyab.

Also set to be recognized during the Awards Night are the top football players from the UAAP and the NCAA.

Far Eastern University’s Regine Rebosura and University of the Philippines’ Ramil Bation III were named the UAAP Football Players of the Year in their respective divisions, while San Beda University’s Marc Pellejo, the league’s Most Valuable Player, earned NCAA Football Player of the Year honors.

All three played pivotal roles in their teams’ championship runs. Rebosura and Bation each scored the decisive goals in their respective finals matches, while goalkeeper Pellejo anchored San Beda’s defense, keeping opponents scoreless until the penalty shootout, where the Red Booters ultimately prevailed.

The Collegiate Press Corps Awards Night is presented by Strong Group Athletics.
