FTW: Get to know PHL football veteran and Kaya FC's Armand Del Rosario

Mentioning the surname Del Rosario in the context of Pinoy football usually leads to a discussion about Azkals defender Anton Del Rosario. Little do people know that there's a more veteran Del Rosario in the scene—Anton's brother Armand.

Armand, who has been playing since he was five years old, was once a member of the US Olympic Development program. And although he was born and raised in the US, he is considered a Filipino-American. Del Rosario came to the Philippines and played for the De La Salle Green Booters under coach Hans Smit.

"All i know was we beat Ateneo everytime. I scored everytime I played so that's ok," said Del Rosario of the La Salle-Ateneo rivalry.

The elder of the Del Rosario brothers has been involved with the Philippine national team since 2001, when he was selected to be part of the Futsal National squad. He last represented the Philippines in 2009, and has since become a dependable veteran for Kaya FC in the UFL.
