PHL national team in the hunt for new Volcanoes

Fresh from their Asian Five Nations Division One championship win against Sri Lanka, the Philippine National Rugby team embarked on a search for more players to reinforce their men's and women's squad.   The Philippine Rugby Football Union now has a player registration page on their website, where players who have experience playing in rugby unions and leagues can sign up to be part of the various age classes.   The PRFU is looking for players for the Under 18, Under 20, Men's 7s, Men's 15s, Women's 7s, and Women's 15s squads. The group said interested applicants can register at http://www.prfu.com/player-registration   Interested individuals who reside outside the Philippines are also encouraged to apply, so long as they have Filipino heritage or carry a Philippine passport. — Renee Fopalan/ELR, GMA News
