Neil Etheridge returns to Azkals for FIFA World Cup qualifiers
English-Filipino goalkeeper Neil Etheridge is set to rejoin the Philippine Azkals for the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers after recovering from injury.
The 29-year-old missed out on the Philippines’ first two World Cup qualifying matches because of a hamstring injury.

Etheridge will be part of the 23-man Philippine team against China PR on October 15 in Bacolod, Negros Occidental.
He will also be part of the Azkals’ third match in the 2023 AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers.
The Philippines currently sits at third place with a record of one win and one loss.
The Azkals is led by head coach Goran Milojevic and assistant coach Hezirdan Ramadani and goalkeeping coach Milos Simic. —Julia Mari Ornedo/KG, GMA News
