Filipinas to set up Australia camp ahead of Olympic qualifiers

The Philippine women's football team on Monday bared its 29-player pool as it set up camp in Australia in preparation for the second round of the AFC Women's Olympic Qualifying Tournament later this month.

The core of the 2023 FIFA World Cup squad banners the new pool led by Sarina Bolden, Olivia McDaniel, Kiara Fontanilla, Hali Long, Angela Beard, Jessika Cowart, Sofia Harrison, Quinley Quezada, Sara Eggesvik, Jaclyn Sawicki, Isabella Flanigan, Katrina Guillou, Meryll Serrano, Chandler McDaniel, Alicia Barker, and Dominique Randle.

Completing the pool are Inna Palacios, Reina Bonta, Zoe Hudson, Eva Madarang, Aaliyah Schinaman, Tahnai Annis, Anicka Castañeda, Kaya Hawkinson, Jessica Miclat, Camille Rodriguez, Natalie Oca, Isabella Pasion, and Alisha Del Ocampo.

The Filipinas qualified to the second round after sweeping their assignments in the first round last April, dominating Pakistan (4-0), Tajikistan (8-0), and Hong Kong (4-0) without giving up a single point.

For the second round, they are pooled in Group A where they will face Chinese Taipei on October 26 before taking on host Australia and Iran on the 29th and on November 1, respectively.
