Alex Eala partners with Fil-Am doubles star Desirae Krawczyk in Pan Pacific Open

Alexandra 'Alex' Eala will team up with Filipina-American star Desirae Krawczyk of the USA in the Pan Pacific Open doubles tournament as they go up against fellow Asians to kick off their campaigns.

Eala and Krawczyk will take on Hao-Ching Chan of Chinese Taipei and Miyu Kato of Japan in the Round of 16.

Krawczyk, who is of Filipino descent on her mother’s side, is an established doubles player on the WTA Tour. The 32-year-old has won 13 doubles titles and is currently ranked No. 32 in the world, having reached a career-high ranking of No. 7 in August 2024.

Her most recent doubles titles came in April 2026, when she and fellow USA bet Caty McNally beat Anna Bondar and Magdalena Frech in the finals to rule the WTA500 tournament.

Krawczyk has also flourished in the mixed doubles scene, winning four Grand Slam mixed doubles titles — one each in French Open and US Open and two from Wimbledon in 2021 and 2022.
