Olympics: PHL lady archer Cabral bows to Russian foe

Filipina archer Rachelle Anne Cabral is the latest of the Philippine contingent in London to bite the dust Tuesday after falling to Russian Inna Stepanova in the elimination round of the Women's Individual archery competition, 7-1.   Cabral dropped the first, second and fourth set to Stepanova. The Filipina managed to get a draw in the third set, after matching the Russian's score of 25.   With the defeat, Cabral joins Paul Brian Rosario who failed to qualify in the skeet shooting event earlier on Tuesday.   Only Mark Barriga qualified for the next round from the group of Filipino athletes who have already competed, after the boxer beat Italian Manuel Cappai, 17-7 in the first round of the light flyweight 49-kilogram event. — ELR, GMA News
