UFC Fight Night Manila Live Updates

Edgar defeats Faber via unanimous decision

Gegard Mousasi defeats Costas Philippou via unanimous decision

Gegard Mousasi:

"I wanted to finish him, but he's a strong guy. I could've been a bit more aggressive, but he was defending well.

It feels great to fight in the Philippines. Just like in Japan, Asians love fighting, and I hope to come back here again."

Mark Munoz defeats Luke Barnatt via unanimous decision

"I feel so good. To love what you do and do what you love, it doesn't feel like work, and that's fighting for me. But family is always the priority. I'm going out on my own terms. I don't want to miss any more special moments with them. I've had an amazing career. The UFC has given me so much and I'm very fortunate.

Barnatt's a tough opponent. He kept on coming after all the punches I threw and after my ground and pound. He came to fight. It was action-packed and I couldn't have asked for a better fight.

It's just amazing being in the Philippines. This is where it all started for my family and it just feels awesome to be here.

I left the Octagon but I'm leaving the legacy of treating people the way I want to be treated. I'm known as one of the nicest guys in the UFC and there's a reason for it. That's the Filipino way: you respect and you're respected back. I'm very Filipino, this is who I am. This is my culture. I uphold traditions close to my heart. It's a storybook ending here in the Philippines. I couldn't have asked for a better ending and I thank God I was able to end my career here."

Neil Magny defeats Hyun Gyu Lim by TKO in Round 2

"In the first round, at first I was thinking, 'That hurt!' Honestly, I was just thinking, 'I got clipped, I have to compose myself and look for an opening to take him down.' I know he likes to swing heavily, so I knew I had to keep composed, keep my hands up, and wait to take him down.

For my next fight, I'd like a crack at some of the top five and a new contract would be nice."

Phillipe Nover defeats Yui Chul Nam via split decision

Phillipe Nover:
"It feels amazing. I'm so happy to fight here in front of my friends and family. It's an amazing experience to be back and to win a tough fight. It was an absolute dream come true to come back to the UFC.

My game plan didn't go according to plan, I would say, on the third round. The first and second rounds were my rounds. I was able to accomplish most of what I wanted. Yui surprised me a couple of times, but I thought I did my job out there."

Levan Makashvili defeats Mark Eddiva via split decision

Levan Makashvili:
"I accepted the fight on short notice, because that is what I will do, no matter the situation. I felt that I didn't perform as well as I should, plus the 30-hour plane ride made a difference. Still, I thank God and the organization for this opportunity and I just want to fight as soon as possible."

Mark Eddiva:
"I'm going to go back to the gym and train to holistically improve. We focused only on wrestling [with last-minute switch of opponent]. In any case, I am still thankful to God."

Jon Tuck defeats Tae Hyun Bang via submission in Round 1

Jon Tuck:
"My gameplan was to remain confident and show my true skill level. I'm continuing to grow as a fighter, and I can show that every time I step into the Octagon. I'm a better fighter than my last fight. I'm evolving, and I'm able to show that, mixing up my wrestling into the whole package. The Philippines is a second home to me. Every time I come here, everybody gives me love. I always come here and have nothing but pleasurable experiences."

Kajan Johnson defeats Zhang Lipeng via unanimous decision

Kajan Johnson:
"My gameplan was to utilize angles to stay away from his power right hand and power right kick. I was creating angles, but I wasn't capitalizing on them enough. I just started using this style about a year ago, and I'm still working towards perfecting it. It's great to be part of history (being part of UFC Manila). I couldn't be happier or be more thankful."

Li Jingliang defeats Dhiego Lima via KO in Round 1

Li Jingliang:

"I trained hard for this fight. I trained hard with my team and my coaches. We prepared for this, and I felt good that I could knock him out tonight. I really knew I was going to win."

Ning Guangyou defeats Royston Wee via TKO in Round 2

Ning Guangyou:

"I have a lot of friends who tell me to go out there and fight like crazy, but I'm an experienced martial artist and I had to use a little bit of wisdom and wait for the right opportunity. Judging by the distance and by the way he was playing, if I didn't go in and attack, he would have hit me. So I waited for the opening, and when it came, it just went on."

Jon Delos Reyes defeats Roldan Sangcha-an via rear naked choke

Jon Delos Reyes:

"I feel great. It was a slow start. I knew it was a tough fight, and I wanted to show the fans two Filipinos fighting against each other in the UFC, I think it was a good fight for our first UFC fight in Manila. I was born in Guam, but I'm full Filipino. Fighting in the Philippines was going to be a lot of pressure---I love Filipinos. I get humbled here."

Roldan Sangcha-an:

"I'm disappointed but it's part of the game. I accept this defeat and learn from it because champions who don't accept defeat will never be champions. It was great fighting here tonight. I am proud to represent the Philippines."

Yao Zhikui defeats Nolan Ticman via split decision

Yao Zhikui:

"I wasn't too confident going into the judges' decision, because my opponent kept running from me. I won the fight because I was the aggressor. I felt great fighting in the Philippines, as there's not much difference from fighting in China. There's no time difference, and the weather is great."
