The Philippine national sepak takraw team has vowed to leave no stone unturned in their pursuit to bring home the 2015 Southeast Asian Games gold medal to the country.
The national team is coming from a busy King's Cup World Championship last month where it brought home a gold medal, two silvers and a bronze.
Still fit and satisfied about their performance in the world stage, the team's coach Hector Memarion is confident they'll do better in Singapore than their last SEA Games tilt.
"Our preparation for the 2015 SEA Games has been good," said Memarion.
"The last SEA Games in Myanmar we won just a bronze medal because we only sent three players who competed in a single event."
Memarion noted that sending more players to the tournament this time increases the Philippines' chances of winning gold, assuring that his players only have winning gold in mind.
"This year we are sending eight players to compete in two events: double and trio. Filipinos can expect our athletes to play hard and aim for that gold." —JST, GMA News
