The women's national volleyball team occupied a place of honor in the opening ceremonies of the Southeast Asian Games, leading the country's 472-strong delegation on Friday night.

The squad was just behind volleyball superstar Alyssa Valdez, who was alone in front as the Philippines' flag bearer.
